When first asked to direct this piece, my initial thought was ‘Wow, this has got to be very dated’! But, as I read through this play I was struck by the same similarities and concerns we experience today.
Through clever comedy, we see the same issues discussed then as now. We see and hear it in our news broadcasts, our political climates and candidates, our burning social questions and our daily lives
Charley is a man challenged with trying to merge his dreamed of fantasy world with the world he sees and experiences around him. He is the ultimate round peg in a square hole. Enjoy this comedic look into our souls and minds as we discover the ‘secret’ of the barred windows.
