From the Director, Erin Fagundes
It is my extreme pleasure to be directing Once on this Island, Jr. for so many reasons. I first fell in love with the wonderful score when the full length Broadway musical came out in 1990. I must have played the cd a million times, much to my brother's dismay, who was subjected to the musical every morning in the car on the way to school. It's a beautiful story about love, strength, and hope that transcends across "two worlds never meant to meet". In addition to the wonderful music and story, Once on this Island, Jr. offers a great opportunity for the amazing talent in our community to shine. It is rare that you find musicals that are truly ensemble pieces, but in Once on this Island, Jr. it truly takes a village to bring this piece to life. We had an amazing turnout making it very difficult to select the final cast members for the show, but after much deliberation, we are pleased to present the following cast comprised of both new and veteran members of the Conejo Players and local theatre community.

children's
theatre
productions,

presenting

performances
for
schools
on
Wednesday,
October
10th,
and
a
Friday
evening
show
on
October
12th
at
7pm,
in
addition
to
our
regularly
scheduled
performances
Saturdays
and
Sundays

14
at
1pm
