Since our inception in 1958, Conejo Players Theatre has striven to bring top-shelf, professional-quality live entertainment -- at affordable prices -- to audiences from around the Conejo Valley and beyond. Each year, Conejo Players offer six Mainstage productions and one full-scale Youth Theatre production; in addition, we offer a variety of low-cost ($5 administration fee) workshops for children, teens, and adults ... and we provide a special performance of our children's show free of charge to over 175 local Title I schoolchildren.
Conejo Players Theatre is an organization that nurtures the creative spirit in people of all ages and backgrounds. We believe that the productions and programs we offer can -- and do -- transform the quality of life in our community. By continuing to provide educational arts opportunities and programs that emphasize inclusion, creative problem-solving, volunteerism, and community building, we can maintain and grow our unique self-supporting theatre.
Built in 1964, the theater building has been expanded twice -- and recently competed the first phase of a major refurbishing and improvement plan to prepare for another fifty years of community participation and cultural involvement.
Still to come is a major expansion of the lobby, restrooms, porch, and entrances to improve hospitality and comfort. Production improvements for new dressing rooms; prop, costume and set storage; body microphones and upgraded sound capabilities; and a rehearsal hall/reception area are all on the drawing board ... but will need major funding.
For our entire history, CPT has operated and maintained its production facilities with box office receipts. The REACHING FOR THE STARS campaign was created to provide capital improvement funding for remodeling and expanding CPT facilities.

Pledges can be all at once, or paid over a five-year period -- and payments are fully tax deductible in the year they are paid.
